You drive off in your car
I drive off in mine
You - braking, shifting, changing the radio station
You - sliding the seat back to accomodate your long legs
You - grasping the wheel, turning the wheel
I am doing these things as well

You get out of your car
I get out of mine
You - laughing, talking, throwing your head back
You - high heels on grey cement announcing your presence
You - living your day, making your day
I am doing these things as well

You sit down at your desk
I sit down at mine
You - stopping, starting, picking up the phone
You - taking your shoes off to rest your aching toes
You - rubbing your eyes, closing your eyes
I am doing these things as well

Revelation - am I wasting time?
When I eat lunch, I wonder what you're eating
When you eat lunch, do you wonder what I'm eating?
Or do you just eat?

My phone blinks - an outside line
"Hello." I say
"Hi." You say
