The Hurricane Branch 09/15/94

I'm hanging on the hurricane branch
I'm hanging on the hurricane branch
I wished to god that I could have another chance
And now I'm hanging on the hurricane branch
I have fallen one more time
I have fallen again
I should have known it wasn't where or why
It was really just a question of when
I'm hanging hanging hanging hanging
Hanging hanging hanging hanging
Hanging hanging hanging hanging
I'm hanging on the hurricane branch
I'm hanging on the hurricane branch

Gloria rolled over this little town
Just a couple years ago
She left her mark on this here tree
The one I'm hanging from don't you know
She left this branch all crooked
But she also left it on
And I've been coming here and hanging
From when I sleep until the dawn
It splinters and it crackles
My feet just dangle helpless
It's winter and I'm frozen
My feet just dangle helpless
I'm hanging on the hurricane branch
I'm hanging on the hurricane branch
When the wind blows I just shift and dance
I'm hanging on the hurricane branch
I'm hanging on the hurricane branch
