When Kisses Filled With Snow Are Licked Away 02/?/93

When kisses filled with snow are licked away
What do they leave?
When poems are just ink and paper joined
Not souls to weave
When French is just a language
When a leopard's just a cat
When a snowman's only snow
And a hat is just a hat
When a dilemma is a problem
When a car becomes a jail
When recognition meets suspicion
When fur is just a piece of tail
Can you wake up from a nightmare
Into a peaceful dream
Only to wake up one more time
To find things are not what they seem
The disappointment would require
A death that is not small
Where do we cross the line
When does a jump become a fall?
