Science class early morning
Glasses braces and braids
I see each button on her shirt
Worrying about my grades
She and her friend called me giggling
So we have now spoken on the phone
I brought her my sister's nail polish remover
Which she used when she was all alone
I can see the outline of her body
Right there behind her dress
It goes from the floor up past her head
Ends right past her face I guess
How do I ask? What do I say?
Now that so much has changed
Over her hills and through my wood
See where my one track mind has ranged
If I don't pay attention to you all the time
It's just coz I'll lose my mind
I forgot my locker combination again
After you I'd been walking behind
